Writing a Memoir
Friday 25th September at 1 – 3pm. A memoir gives licence – to interpret, to create, to fabricate, to make sense of a life, or part of that life. Go for it! Write a piece of your life. This course aims to introduce participants to memoir writing and encourage them to produce a creative mini memoir by the end of the course. Write a memoir – a slice of your life that has made you who you are; whether it be magical or mundane, it is yours to cherish. The topics covered include: What is a Memoir; Right Brain/Left Brain; Brainstorming Topics; Honesty & Validation; Written Content & Language; Review Work; Constructive Critique; Writing the Memoir; Sharing. Thursday 8th October at 9.30 – 11.30am. This course will teach and empower parents and instil confidence in dealing with the challenges presented during the ‘growing up’ process, also to increase confidence and flexibility in parenting approaches and to widen the support network of parents in the community through inclusion, participation and experience. The topics covered each include Puberty & Relationships; Emotional & Moral Development; Peer Relationships & Influences; Communication & Social Media; Sexual Relationships, Dangers & Awareness and in the final week, a review on all topics. Your Inner Artist
Saturday 31st October at 10.30am – 1pm. Six week series of adult workshops to engage creativity “discover hidden talents, express yourself and switch off the inner critic” Keep an artist journal, use a range of materials and techniques and have fun! Suitable for creative people or those who want to get in touch with their creativity, no previous experience required. Participants report increased confidence in themselves and abilities; renewed love of creativity; enhanced well being and commitment to creative pursuit. Freedom Life Coaching
Friday 6th November at 8 – 10pm. This course will enable participants to achieve clarity and awareness that will assist in making decisions that will ultimately lead to their desired outcomes. The group will share strategies and tools that will help create changes that are needed in their lives. During the sessions the group will learn to overcome fears, deal with emotions and limiting beliefs, set meaningful goals and live life in alignment with their true values. Ballroom Dance Classes
Learn to dance with Qualified Ballroom Dance Teachers, James & Bernie Farrelly in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Ballroom Dance Classes take place every Monday in Ballinacree Community Centre at 8.30 to 10.30pm.
