OCRG Children’s Christmas Event

Shop Local This Christmas

Figures from Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) show that there are over 270,000 people working in the retail sector in this country with the majority employed in small businesses.

REI also estimates that every €1 spent in a local business is worth €4 to the local economy as the money spent continues to circulate through wages and payments for local services.

With that in mind, let’s all try to support Oldcastle traders as best we can in the coming weeks and “Shop Local This Christmas”.

The Oldcastle & District Chamber of Commerce “Oldcastle Value Week” runs until the 7th of December (see posters below) and includes the Christmas Craft Fair and arrival of Santa on The Square on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
